How much is a written bathroom quote?
Nothing. We come round, measure up, talk through what you want and what's realistic, then send a fixed written quote within 48 hours. No pressure, no follow-up calls if it's not for you.
Do you do emergency call-outs?
During working hours we'll get to most floods or full burst-pipe situations the same day across Preston. Out of hours we don't run a 2am service — we'd rather charge fair daytime rates than triple them at midnight. If it's flooding, isolate the stop tap and call.
Worcester, Vaillant, Ideal — which boiler should I buy?
For most three-bed semis around Preston we'd recommend a Worcester Greenstar 30i or a Vaillant ecoTEC plus. Both are reliable, parts are cheap, and we can register them for 10-year warranties. We're not tied to a manufacturer — we'll suggest what suits your home, not what gives us the biggest kickback.
What's not included on the quote?
Everything we can see is on the quote. The only things that can change are if we find something hidden — rotten floorboards under the toilet, a buried leaking pipe — and in that case we ring you first with options and a price before we touch it.
Are you Gas Safe and insured?
Yes. Gas Safe registered number on the van and on every certificate. £2m public liability cover, WaterSafe approved for unvented systems. Happy to send the certificates over before you book.
Card, cash or bank transfer?
All three. We can take card on the doorstep with a portable reader, or send a bank-transfer link with the invoice. No deposit on jobs under £500. Bigger refits split into staged payments — 30% to confirm, 50% on first fix, balance on completion.
